Some Effects of Viscous Terms on Riemann Problem Solutions

چکیده
This paper concerns 2 2 systems of conservation laws with quadratic uxes corresponding to Case II in the classiication of such problems. Aided by a computer program , we have constructed the solution that satisses the viscous proole criterion for shock admissibility. Our solution diiers from that obtained using the Lax admissibility criterion, even though solutions exist and are unique for both criteria. With the viscous proole criterion , some nonlocal Lax shock waves are inadmissible; in their place, transitional waves appear in the wave patterns.

Self-similar solutions of the Riemann problem for two-dimensional systems of conservation laws
In this paper, a new approach is applied to study the self-similar solutions of 2×2 systems of nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws. A notion of characteristic directions is introduced and then used to construct local and smooth solutions of the associated Riemann problem
متن کاملOn the physical and the self-similar viscous approximation of a boundary Riemann problem
We deal with the viscous approximation of a system of conservation laws in one space dimension and we focus on initial-boundary value problems. It is known that, in general, different viscous approximation provide different limits because of boundary layer phenomena. We focus on Riemann-type data and we discuss a uniqueness criterion for distributional solutions which applies to both the non ch...
متن کاملNvestigation of a Boundary Layer Problem for Perturbed Cauchy-Riemann Equation with Non-local Boundary Condition
Boundary layer problems (Singular perturbation problems) more have been applied for ordinary differential equations. While this theory for partial differential equations have many applications in several fields of physics and engineering. Because of complexity of limit and boundary behavior of the solutions of partial differential equations these problems considered less than ordinary case. In ...
متن کاملHALL AND LON-SLIP EFFECTS ON MAGNETO-MICROPOLAR FLUID WITH COMBINED FORCED AND FREE CONVECTION IN BOUNDARY LAYER FLOW OVER A HORIZONTAL PLATE WITH VISCOUS DISSIPATION
In this paper, we study the effects of Hall and ion-slip currents on the steady magneto-micropolar of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid over a horizontal plate by taking in to account the viscous dissipation effects. By means of similarity solutions, deviation of fundamental equations on the assumption of small magnetic Reynolds number are solved numerically by using qu...
